Arts and Culture

It is said that the face of the nation is in its artists. With many art events, exhibitions, screening, book signings and concerts, to name a few, our community enjoys a very active cultural life. The ‘Arts and Culture’ section of our program is dedicated to promoting Armenian art and artist to a larger audience.  We interview and promote the works of up and coming and established artists working in a wide variety of media - filmmakers, authors, musicians, painters, photographers, dancers and more.

Science and Education

Science and Education

Perhaps the most important work in diaspora is providing Armenian education to our children leaving outside Armenia. The diaspora is the backbone of our motherland, and enlisting early Armenian education in younger generations will insure the future survival and success of the Armenian diaspora. Our ‘Science and Education’ programing highlights important milestones in the lives of our local schools - graduations, art and science fairs, fundraising gala events and more. In addition, collaborationing with ‘Armenian Engineers and Scientists of America,’ we report on networking events for young Armenian scientists and engineers, and other science related activities in our community.

Religion

Religion

As the first Christian nation, the role of religion and Christianity has always played an important role in the life of the Armenian nation. The Armenian faith is as central to Armenians around the world as it has been for centenaries, and today we have numerous Armenian churches each with large congregations in New York - New Jersey Metropolitan area and across the United Sates. In the ‘Religion’ section of our program we cover all important current religious news. These include visits of catholicosate of both dominations and other high ranking religious officials, ordinations and other important religious ceremonies. The section also includes the coverage of Easter and Christmas and other major religious holidays, as well as interviews with notable clergy and religious scholars.

Politics

Politics

The role of Armenian diaspora in shaping Armenian politics both locally and internationally can not be underestimated. With many political organizations, NGOs, as well as actives, benefactors and scholars in New York - New Jersey Metropolitan area, the political life of our community is as vibrant and active as ever. In the ‘Politics’ section of our program we report on many political developments in our area and beyond. We cover visits by the members of the Armenian government, life and activities of political organizations in our community, and conduct interviews with Armenian and international politicians both in the motherland and in diaspora. We also interview American politicians and members of US Congress and Senate who represent the interests of Armenians.

Health

Health

Our ‘Health’ programs provide important information to improve healthcare awareness, medical support and education to our local community as well as our brethren in Armenia. The segments hosted by Dr. Ohan Karatoprak and produced in collaboration with  Armenian American Health Professional Organization (AAHPO) serve as an important source for healthcare advice. The programs include conversations with a wide variety health professions including nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, dentistry and medicine in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut region. The ‘Health’ section also reports on many charitable projects where Armenian healthcare professionals are involved, including activities in Armenia.

The ‘Interview’ section of our program aims to achieve two primary goals. Firstly, to introduce notable Armenian individuals living amongst us to the members of our community and our viewers around thew world. Secondly, to create an online archive for future generation of Armenians. Through in depth interviews in a form of lively and engaging conversations we provide our audience with an opportunity to hear from and learn about Armenians whose success in their prospective professional fields has benefited our community and our nation. The guests we interview, both Armenian and non-Armenian, represent all facets of our multidimensional community - artists, authors, politicians, community activists and many others.

Armenian Genocide

Armenian Genocide

As the Armenian nation commemorates the 100th Anniversary of Armenian Genocide, we are committed to give maximum amount of coverage and exposure to all the events that takes place in our community, specifically in New York - New Jersey Metropolitan areas and across the United Sates. To the date we have provided extensive coverage of major recent political, social and cultural Genocide Centennial related events including, the march to the Turkish consulate in New York, the historic Times Square Commemoration event, three day panel and event conference Responsibility 2015,’ National Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide Centennial events in Washington, D.C., as well as visits of the Armenian President and Armenian Catholicosate of both domination. We have conducted  interviews with New York and New Jersey senators, congressmen and other politicians who support our cause.  In our Armenian Genocide Centennial programs we will continue reporting on all Centennial Commemoration events and activities in our community and beyond throughout the rest of 2015.
